2015 Merdingen Spätburgunder trocken, Baden, Germany

Red and a few black berries on the nose, smoky and light toasted notes, dried floral traces, delicate hint of tobacco, mineral notes. Straightforward, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, delicate acid bite, polished, youthful, fairly moderate tannins, fairly persistent, smoky and toasted traces, not particularly deep, but meticulously made, slightly spicy on a good finish.
