2017 Pinot Noir VDP.Gutswein trocken "Caviar", Rheingau, Germany

Deep and firm, quite complex bouquet of ripe red and a little black berries with floral nuances, a touch of cherries, finely spiced wood aromas, a little pepper and minerality and a hint of resin. Ripe, firm, very juicy, noble, rather cool fruit, fine spicy and woody aromas, a little smoke, some acid bite and youthful, yet very fine tannin, persistent, salty in the background, good depth, toasty tones, a little pepper, certainly has power but no heaviness, multi-layered, very good, firm, fine juicy, spicy and mineral finish. Wonderful
