2015 Burkheim Feuerberg Kesselberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Baden, Germany

Cool, firm, polished, fairly elegant nose, red berries, some cherries, floral traces, light nutty notes, vanilla, juniper and cardamom, mineral traces in the background. Ripe, partly preserved, predominantly red fruit on the palate, some dried herbs and floral notes, hint of bacon, fine sandy tannins, good persistence and depth, smoky notes, hint of tobacco, light oak, earthy traces, still largely undeveloped, light malted notes, sweetish, spicy oak and more bacon on a very good juicy finish.
