2013 Shiraz trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Meaty nose, earthy, dried vegetal and light peppery notes, black berries and cherries, dried herbs and some tobacco. Tart juicy fruit on the palate, prominent toasted, nutty oak, spicy cocoa notes, meaty and animal traces, peppery spice, fairly prominent, fairly fine tannins, still slightly astringent, persistent, very full-bodied, noticeable warm alcohol, earthy notes, hint of tobacco in the background, touch of root vegetables, light sooty and smoky notes, good to very good tart finish.
