2013 Reserve trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm cedary nose, hint of tobacco, light animal notes, ripe, partly dried black berries, dried meat, bay leaf, peppery notes, hint of bacon. Ripe, juicy, fairly firm fruit on the palate, partly preserved, nutty, toasted, spicy oak, delicate sooty notes and ashes, fairly prominent fine sandy, youthful tannins, persistent, earthy notes, dark chocolate and some coffee in the background, hint of orange zests, good depth, still slightly astringent, quite sweet and creamy, very good preserved, juicy, spicy finish.
