2013 Zweigelt Reserve trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Tart nose, earthy and nutty notes, hint of tobacco, predominantly black and a few red berries, hint of dried herbs, peppery traces. Firm and full-bodied ripe, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, light acid bite, firm, fairly fine tannins, hint of smoked bacon, noticeable high alcohol, but also has cool facettes, light bite, herbaceous notes in the background, hint of citrus zests, very good juicy, spicy finish.
