Tart nose, light earthy notes, hint of bacon, ripe black berries, some oak, peppery traces, hint of cola nut and tobacco, whiff of licorice. Quite full-bodied on the palate, preserved dark fruit, sooty oak, prominent dark chocolate, cocoa and nut butter, slightly astringent tannins, fairly viscous style, fairly persistent, noticeable high alcohol, hint of tobacco and bacon, peppery notes, good finish.
