The estate is located in the municipality of Trittenheim (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region Moselle, It was founded in 1635 and has been managed by Marietta and Bernhard Eifel since 1976. A guest house and the manor restaurant "Stefan Andres Weinstube" are connected. The love of wine was also born to daughter Alexandra. She laid the foundation stone through internships of several months in the renowned German wineries Economics Council Rebholz (Palatinate) and Heymann-Lowenstein (Terrassenmosel). After completing a degree in oenology in Geisenheim will follow in her parents' footsteps. The vineyards cover six hectares of vineyards in the top locations Annaberg (Schweich), Altärchen and pharmacy (Trittenheim), as well Maximiner Herrenberg (Longuich). They are planted with the varieties Riesling (5 ha), Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc and Kerner. Great importance is attached to the preservation and development of the respective terroir. After the whole grape pressing, a cool fermentation takes place. The wines are predominantly aged in stainless steel and a small part in wooden barrels. A specialty is the “Riesling from the red slate” from 75 to 100 year old, root-safe vines from the Schweicher Annaberg vineyard. The Pinot Blanc is aged in barriques for six months. In suitable years, noble sweet predicates and ice wines are also produced.
