2015 Großheppach Wanne Syrah trocken SL, Klingenberg, Württemberg, Germany

Predominantly black berries on the nose, hint of bacon, vegetal notes, some tar, hint of tobacco, peppery and earthy notes. Ripe, creamy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, smoked bacon, some cloves and a hint of caramel, touch of egg white, pepper and herbaceous traces, noticeable warm alcohol, cloves in the background, lots of chocolate, fairly soft style, but becomes more firm with aeration, fairly well integrated tannins, salty mineral traces, spicy notes and more smoked bacon on a very good, slightly jammy and juicy finish.
