2012 trocken Malterer, Baden, Germany

Quite deep, complex, woody aroma of ripe pome fruits and citrus fruits with fine vegetal aromas, nutty tones, a hint of tobacco and earthy minerality. Firmly woven, restrained, yet concentrated fruit with clear, slightly bitterish wood spice, nutty and tobacco aromas as well as clear, tart, earthy and salty minerality, slightly smoky on the palate, dense and persistent, taut acidity, ripe tannin, a lot of grip and bite, good depth, very slightly rustic style, very good to long, tart finish with juice and some melting
