2016 Malterdingen Bienenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken Wildenstein, Baden, Germany

Still closed-looking, with more firm and deeper, complex, slightly dried vegetal to tobacco-like scent of red and a little black berries with cherry notes, aromatic pepper, hint of bacon, herbs and clear, earthy mineral notes. Firm-looking, cool, firm and elegantly juicy fruit, dense and radiant clean-toned, floral and noble herbaceous nuances, a hint of pepper and hints of citrus zest, also a little pomegranate in the background, very fine, youthful tannins, salty mineral notes in the background, has substance and depth, elegant style, complex, full-bodied, slightly ethereal and tobacco, salted nuts and pomegranate, hardly developed yet, very good to long, firm, tart finish with steam. Will only get deeper and beguiling for days.
