2017 Malterdingen Bienenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken "Wildenstein", Baden, Germany

Firm, deep and complex, herbal and spicy scent of red and a little black berries with a hint of bacon, floral nuances, hints of Provence herbs, tobacco, a little pepper, cedar notes and intense, earthy-chalky minerality. Deep and concentrated in the mouth, ripe fruit with complex spices, some smoke and roasted notes, pepper, dried herbs, tobacco and intense minerality on the palate, deep and gripping, still completely undeveloped, a hint of tobacco, nutty aromas, enormous tension, long, compact , multilayered reverberation. Impressive.
