The estate is located in the commune of Hainfeld (Südliche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region palatinate
, It was founded by Johann Adam Koch, today it is managed by Bernhard Koch, the cellar master is Bernhard Schwab. The vineyards cover 42 hectares of vineyards in the layers of Altenforst (Burrweiler), Bischofskreuz and Vogelsprung (Flemlingen), as well as chapel, Latvians and religious order (Hainfeld). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Scheurebe, Kerner, Rieslaner and Huxelrebe, as well as with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Black Riesling, Dornfelder, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. In the winemaking process, the use of modern technology is reserved in accordance with old traditions. Quality criteria are selective hand picking, ripe healthy berries, slow fermentation, as well as oak barrels for red wine. Pearl wines, bottle-fermented sparkling wines, brandies (yeast, pomace, wine, grapes, fruit) and liqueurs are also produced.
