2011 Schweigen Sonnenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs, "Rädling", Pfalz, Germany

Smoky bouquet of red and black berries with dried plant notes, some tobacco, pepper and earthy notes. Ripe, somewhat melted red and black fruit, toasty and smoky hints, also a little soot, quite strong and persistent on the palate, relatively present tannins, has grip, some depth, very good finish.
