2016 Appenheim Frühburgunder trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Fairly firm, slightly dried-on floral scent of red and black berries with delicate mushroom, earthy and tobacco nuances. Tart, again quite firm fruit with some cocoa-spicy and roasted oak, fine sandy, mature tannins, light acid bite, good substance and persistence, salty mineral notes in the background, some tobacco, some spicy notes, some depth, medium potency, very good, juicy and spicy finish.
