Editor note: Fairly prominent bell peppers and some sharp chili pepper, black berries, more spices, including pepper, hint of tobacco, mixed pickles and some light mineral notes. Very full-bodied, very ripe dark fruit on the apalte, braised bell peppers, some pepper, roasted, spicy oak, mature, fine sandy tannins, very creamy, good persistence and depth, fairly broad-shouldered, slightly rustic style, but very well made, and really shows its origins, surprisingly becomes more elegant with aeration, fairly complex on a long finish.
