The estate is located in the community of Bad Durkheim-Leistadt (area Mittelhaardt-German Wine Route) in the German wine-growing region palatinate, It was founded in 1993 by the merger of the two wineries Emil Brenneis in Leistadt and Erhard Koch in Ellerstadt and is led by the two graduate biologists Matthias Koch and Verena Suratny. The vineyards cover nearly nine hectares of vineyards in the layers Herzfeld and Kirchenstück (Leistadt), honey bag (Herxheim), Hofstück (Deidesheim), and pig's stomach and Steinacker (Kallstadt).
