2018 Eibelstadt Mönchsleite Spätburgunder Kabinett trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Slightly smoky-roasted and also a little dried vegetable and earthy nose of more red than black berries with a trace of root vegetables. Rather juicy, ripe, partly preserved fruit, relatively lively acidity and youthful, yet relatively fine tannin, certain persistence, tart earthy and vegetable aromas, a little salt, noticeable alcohol, not quite matching the rest, tobacco nuances, good, rather tart, only for a cabinet again nonsensically alcoholic finish
