2016 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC "Chorus Madrigal", Alto Adige, Italy

Firm nose, meaty and animal notes, hint of iodine, blackcurrants, dried flowers, delicate herbaceous traces, light tarry notes. Ripe, firmly structured, dark fruit on the palate, toasted oak, some ashes, hint of tobacco, light acid bite, youthful, slightly astringent tannins, coffee and cocoa notes, noticeable warm alcohol, touch of licorice, earthy traces and some dried herbs, slightly bitter oak on a very good, dark, juicy finish.
