2016 Martinsthal Schlenzenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Lively nose, light herbaceous notes, toasted notes and peppery spice, red and a few black berries, some pomegranate and a few cherries, floral traces, egg white, iodine and prominent mineral notes. Firm, tart, juicy, concentrated fruit on the palate, dried vegetal notes, some smoky oak, hint of bacon, herbs and pepper, prominent earthy and salty mineral notes, persistent, firm grip, still undeveloped, good depth, nutty traces, hint of tobacco and some bread crusts on a very good firm, tart, juicy and spicy finish.
