The estate is located in the community Essingen (area Southern Wine Route) in the German wine-growing region palatinate
, The company is owned by Bernd Hertel and Mario Hermes. The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vineyards. They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Rivaner Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc, and with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Portuguese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Dorsa. Quality criteria in the vineyard are removal of double shoots when budding, thin out
of up to 50% of the grapes and selective hand-picking. The grapes are processed immediately and gently pressed. The must is fermented for a long time with the latest cooling technology. The wines are produced in three classes. These are classic (medium-bodied red wines, sparkling white wines), Edition H (white wines and red wines from selected grapes), terroir M (extract-rich Rieslings). The white wines are reductively expanded in steel tanks. The red wines preferably ripen in large oak barrels and partly also in oak barrels.
