The estate is located in the community Remshalden-Grunbach (area Remstal-Stuttgart) in the German wine-growing region Wuerttemberg
, It is owned by Dorothee Wagner-Ellwanger and Andreas Ellwanger, the winery name is formed from the two first names. The vineyards cover five hectares, of which 2.5 hectares to the estate Ellwanger Jürgen
are leased. The fruit from two hectares of scattered meadows is processed in the in-house distillery. The self-managed vineyards in the individual layers Berghalde and Klingle (Grunbach) are planted with the varieties Riesling, Trollinger and Merlot. Since 2008, all vineyards are according to the guidelines of the Association ECOVIN
organically farmed. The wines are produced in the lines of ballad (light, sparkling), symphony (from best grapes and layers, mostly dry in oak barrels) and opera (predicate wines to ice wine). Bottle-fermented sparkling wines, brandies (fruit, berries, pomace) and liqueurs are also produced.
