1999 Achkarren Schlossberg Grauburgunder Spätlese trocken ***, Baden, Germany

Restrained spicy oak, melon aroma with delicate roast aromas and traces of minerals. Soft, almost creamy fruit, moderate acidity, perfectly integrated oak, powerful, without being heavy, tranquil style, delicately smoky on the palate, some mineral notes, excellent balance, spicy oak and delicate fruit on the finish.
