1999 Ihringen Winklerberg Grauburgunder Spätlese trocken ***, Baden, Germany

Intense nose, spicy oak, aromas of honey melons and green vegetables. Incredibly juicy fruit, completely surrounded by sweet, spicy oak, elegant acidity, creamy texture, very persistent on the palate, powerful body, delicate smoky note, excellent balance, long finish, juicy and spicy. Will only be at its best in 2001.
