2005 Ihringen Winklerberg Gewürztraminer Spätlese trocken, Baden, Germany

Partly dried orange zests on the nose, lychees, apricots and roses, spicy with light mineral notes. Frim and full-bodied on the palate, elegant, juicy fruit, very prominent and delicately tart spicy note, bitter notes typical of the variety, some more roses and bitter orange, mineral notes, very good persistence and depth, elegant bite, very harmonious, long finish.

Editor note: Slightly indifferent nose, yellow fruit, vegetal and light animal notes, delicate herbaceous notes, Very dry, at the same time soft with quite prominent mineral notes, moderate, slightly creamy Mediterranean fruit, almost imperceptible acidity, slowly develops substance and depth, good long finish. Very filigree wine that needs time to open up.
