2008 Achkarren Schlossberg Grauburgunder trocken Großes Gewächs ***, Baden, Germany

Crystal clear, fairly cool nose, pomaceous fruit and melon, prominent pistachio, delicate oak, vegetal and mineral traces in the background. Firm, elegant and juicy on the palate, more clear fruit, nutty notes, light oak, very elegant acidity, good substance and persistence, elegant and creamy, more vegetal and mineral notes in the background, still youthful and undeveloped, firm structure, hint of tobacco, reined-in power, very harmonious, beguiling aromas, long finish.
