2016 Saarburg Rausch Riesling Spätlese VDP.Grosse Lage "Josef Heinrich", Mosel, Germany

Cool, fairly firm nose, citrus and stone fruit, whiff of green gooseberries, mineral notes. Firm and quite cool on the palate, sweet, light-bodied fruit, still slightly yeasty, tart mineral notes, very elegant, lively acidity, good persistence, touch of gooseberries again, light citrus aromas and floral traces, still young, elegant style, very good finish. Needs time to mature.
