2012 Birkweiler Mandelberg Weißburgunder trocken Grosses Gewächs, aus dem Muschelkalk, Pfalz, Germany

Clear, nutty and somewhat vegetal citrus-pomaceous fruit nose with delicate woody notes, a hint of smoke, herbs and mineral notes. Tart, juicy, quite firm fruit, nutty tones, herbs and also some dark ethereal spice, fine, quite lively acidity, moderate grip, smoky nuances, persistent and quite dense on the palate, a hint of butter, a lot of power but no breadth, still vital, clear minerality, some depth, very good finish with tension and some alcoholic strength and slightly charcoal-vegetable notes.

Muss reifen.
