2013 Neckarsulm Scheuerberg Lemberger trocken Grosses Gewächs, Steinkreuz®, Württemberg, Germany

Very youthful nose, buttery traces, partly preserved cherries and some mixed berries, hint of tobacco, herbs, some licorice, touch of dark chocolate. Firm, tart dark fruit on the palate, moderate nutty oak, tarry traces, some licorice and black olives in the background, very firm structure, fairly prominent tannins, still lsightly sandy, persistent, concentrated, has some depth, mineral and peppery traces, very good finish. Needs time to mature.
