2017 Bechtheim Chardonnay trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Light nutty oak and some yellow spice on the nose, ripe citrus fruit, touch of pomaceous and stone fruit, hint of mushrooms, some sugar candy, yeasty traces, light hint of tobacco. Fairly firm, ripe, juicy fruit on the palate, light nutty oak, hint of bacon, vegetal and herbaceous notes, particularly reminiscent of broccoli, light smoky notes, hint of tobacco, good substance and persistence, firm structure, some depth, has grip and bite, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, still undeveloped, very good firm, tart, juicy, smoky, spicy finish.
