2016 Escherndorf Lump Riesling VDP.Erste Lage trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Tart, very slightly developed, distinctly dried-vegetable and a hint of waxy nose with restrained yellow-fruity aromas, floral notes, hints of minerality and light earthy-mineral hints. Slightly muted yellow fruit in the mouth, lemony, planty and light nutty tones, some tannin, suitable acidity, some persistence, chalky-salty minerality in the background, has grip, waxy nuances, very good finish. Currently not at its best.
