2018 Untereisenheim Silvaner VDP.Ortswein, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Tart, fairly firm nose, light vegetal and herbaceous notes, earthy and mineral notes, delicate nutty traces, restrained yellow fruit aromas. Ripe, partlycandied, sweetish fruit on the palate, nutty, yeasty and vegetal notes, earthy and mineral notes, elegant acidity, noticeable tannins, good persistence, chalky and salty mineral notes, some depth, quite sweet again on a good to very good finish. The high level of residual sugar is a little irritating, but the wine has good substance, structure and some depth.
