2015 Ilbesheim Rittersberg Riesling trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Somewhat developed, ripe yellow-fruity nose with dried planty to herbal, delicately floral, resinous and black berry aromas, mushrooms and a hint of bacon. Ripe, juicy and melting, yet quite dry fruit with very fine acidity marbling the wine and some grip of very ripe tannin, nutty tones in the background, a hint of turmeric spice, mineral tones, a little black berry in the background, some wax, very good, very slightly warm, fine spicy and melting finish. In good condition - clearly underestimated by us in its youth.
