The estate is located in the town of Iphofen (Steigerwald / Schwanberger Land area) in the German wine-growing region Franconia, As early as the 18th century, ancestors cultivated vines and grew wines. The traditional family business is run by Irmgard and Werner Emmerich in the fifth generation. The sixth generation with Silvia, Milan, Heike and Martin is in the starting blocks so to speak. A new winery with guest rooms was opened on the southern edge of Iphofen in 2000. According to the operating motto, the variety of layers with the respective , the Rebsortentypizität and the individual character each vintage reflect in the wines.

The vineyards cover around. nine hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Hohenbühl (Seinsheim), as well Julius-Echter-Berg. calf and Kronsberg (Iphofen). They are with the white varieties Silvaner (sometimes with over 100 years ungrafted Vines on Hohenbühl, which are among the oldest in Franconia), Scheurebe, Riesling, Muller Thurgau, Bacchus and Kerner as well as the red varieties Domina, Merlot and Portugieser planted. An environmentally friendly, sustainable Viticulture in connection with traditional winemaking is done under the motto "Preserve well-tried and use modern technology sensibly".

Premium wines include Silvaner from ancient (100-year-old) vines, various Rieslings and dry Scheureben. In appropriate years will be too Beerenauslesen vinified. There are also Winzersekte, sparkling wines, grape juice and spirits (wine yeast, pomace, fruit, plum) produced. As a special feature, vines can be leased ( Rebstock sponsorship ). The winery is a member of the Association Franconian greenhouse.
