2018 Monzingen Halenberg Riesling Spätlese VDP.Grosse Lage, Nahe, Germany

Fairly cool, shy nose, light vegetal notes, light citrus and stone fruit aromas, light mineral notes in the background. Firm, cool, polished, sweet fruit on the palate, again fairly shy, very elegant, lively acidity, light tannic grip, persistent, light mineral notes in the background, delicate floral traces, still young, some depth, quite an elegant style, still very slightly muted, yeasty traces, very good, cool, firm, elegant, juicy finish.

Editor note: Clear, cool, polished nose, elegant, light yellow fruit, floral traces, mineral notes. Ripe, juicy, sweet fruit on the palate, very elegant acidity, delicate yeasty notes, chalky mineral notes, but also has some dark notes, integrated tannins provide very light grip, good substance and persistence, some depth, very slightly noticeable warm alcohol, some sugar candy and mineral notes on a firm, juicy finish.
