, Apartments are also rented out. The business is run by Willi Erlenwein and son Timo (trained wine technician with apprenticeship in the winery Dr. Wehrheim
and internship in Burgundy). In 2015, a new wine press with a wine cellar and separate bottling room was put into operation. The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vineyards in a single location Sonnenberg
(Leinsweiler). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Scheurebe, Kerner and Gelber Muskateller, as well as with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir St. Laurent, Black Riesling, Portuguese and Dornfelder. Depending on the type of wine, the wines are aged in steel tanks, large wooden barrels or in barriques. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines as well as brandies made from fruit (from one hectare of fruit growing), yeast, pomace and wine are also produced.
