2017 Weinviertel DAC Grüner Veltliner Reserve trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Slightly muted tart, slightly phenolic nose, prominent vegetal notes, earthy notes, very restrained yellow fruit. Sweetish on the palate, but also has tart vegetal, earthy and phenolic notes, moderate acidity, slightly cremy, fairly prominent tannins, smoky oak, has quite a bit of substance, hint of sautéed mushrooms in the background, salty and peppery notes, good to very good finish.
