The estate is located in the municipality Großwiesendorf 25 kilometers east of Krems
in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region Wagram
, It is being managed by the fifth generation of families. After completing the Krems School of Oenology, Harald Ernst took over his parents' business in 1991. Just two years later, the first great success came when Riesling was voted the country's winner as Austria's best wine. The vineyards cover 8.5 hectares of vineyards on loess soil. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc, and with the red varieties Zweigelt and St. Laurent. The management takes place according to the strict environmental regulations of the KIP
(integrated controlled production). Thus, the nutrient requirement of the vine is largely due to cultivation of legumes
and achieved a lot of humus production in the vineyard. The reading is done only by hand. After careful grape processing, a controlled, cooled fermentation takes place. The premium wines include Grüner Veltliner in Classic, Kabinett, Alte Rebe and Reserve, Riesling Hohenberg and Zweigelt.
