The estate is located in the municipality of Schützen am Gebirge in the Burgenland DAC area Leithaberg (Austria). It has been managed by the Prieler family for over 150 years. Silvia (PhD microbiologist) and Georg Prieler act as cellar masters, Irmgard and Engelbert Prieler are responsible for the vineyard management. The company motto is: We want to remain as we are in all important areas - so small, so fine and so distinctive. We want to make wines that are remembered and characterized by a characteristic liveliness. Our wines are independent, characterized by the variety character and committed to the Burgenland terroir . The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Goldberg, Johanneshöhe, Seeberg, Sinner and Ungerbergen. They are 70% planted with the red varieties Blaufränkisch , Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and St. Laurent, and 30% with the white varieties Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Welschriesling. The average yield is 3,500 liters / hectare. The flagship of the house is the Goldberg Blaufränkisch 26 months in barriques. Around 90,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. The winery is a member of 11 women & their wines and Leithaberg.
