2016 Leithaberg DAC Ried Marienthal Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm, polished nose, black berries and cherries, light spicy oak, hint of tobacco, peppery traces, mineral notes and herbaceous traces. Firm, concentrated, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, youthful, very fine tannins, light acid bite, persistent, deep and complex, herbaceous aromas, light peppery andfloral traces, prominent mineral notes, light smoky and nutty traces, still largely undeveloped, full-bodied and at the same time enchantingly fresh, complex and long.
