2016 Burg Layen Johannisberg Frühburgunder trocken, Nahe, Germany

Slightly warm nose, some spicy oak, hint of tobacco, ripe, predominantly red berries, nutty aromas, tarry traces. Ripe, partly preservedfruit on the palate, toasted, spicy oak, some cocoa, youthful, integrated, sandy tannins, good substance and persistence, noticeable warm alcohol, hint of dried mushrooms in the background, earthy notes, veryslightly rustic style, hint of bacon on a good to very good, slightly spicy finish.
