The wines keep constant high level and are usually the best in their respective category in the area. Weaknesses, there is little, but can occur in difficult vintages. However, this must be balanced in good years with particularly compelling assortments so that an operation can hold the status. In most cases you can blindly buy.

The estate is located in the Hollenburg district of Krems at the Donau in the Lower Austrian wine region Kremstal, It has been family-owned since 1868. The parents Meinhard and Hermine Forstreiter handed over the business to their son Meinhard jr. and his wife Isabella. Parts of the cellar are 300 years old. The partly terraced vineyards cover 28 hectares of vineyards in the Kremser Kogl and Schiefer vineyards. They are 80% with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as 20% with the red varieties Zweigelt, St. Laurent and as a novelty Zinfandel (first harvest year 2000) planted. The management follows the rules of the Organic viticulture, These include green manure and nützlingsschonenderplant protection,

The crop is processed with whole grape pressing. The vinified wines, which are typical of the variety, are mainly aged dry. The red wines St. Laurent, Zinfandel and Zweigelt mature in barriques. The premium wines include various Rieslings and Grüner Veltliner or Kremstal DAC Reserve. As a special feature, certain wines are also available in magnums (1.5 l) filled. In weather-appropriate years, noble sweet predicates will also be up to Eiswein vinified. Fine brandies and naturally cloudy apple juices are also produced. The winery is a member of "Original Kremser Wein".
