The estate is located in the municipality of Montan / Montagna in the Italian viticulture sector South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ). The traditional company was founded in 1880 and is now managed by Franz Haas in the seventh generation of families. Grapes from a total of 55 hectares of vines are processed, the majority of which are owned and leased or are supplied by grape growers. The vineyards are located in the municipalities of Neumarkt, Montan and Aldein at 240 to 1,150 meters above sea level with a variety of microclimatic zones and soils, from porphyry sand to clay to very calcareous soils. The last vineyard was planted at 1,150 meters above sea level with Pinot Nero vines.

The Pinot Grigio ( Pinot gris ), Pinot Bianco ( Pinot Blanc ) Riesling. Chardonnay. Gewurztraminer. Petit Manseng, Moscato Giallo ( Goldmuskateller ) and Sauvignon ( Sauvignon Blanc ), as well as the red varieties Pinot Nero ( Pinot Noir ) Cabernet Sauvignon. Petit Verdot. Cabernet Franc. Merlot. Lagrein and Moscato Rosa ( Rosenmuskateller ) cultivated and processed.

Depending on the type of wine, the wines are fermented in steel tanks or in barriques. The white wines are stored for a long time , The red wines are mostly in expanded. The flagship of the house is the "Pinot Nero Schweizer", which was first marketed in 1990 (born in 1987) and is only made in the best years. It matures in barriques for up to 15 months and in bottles for 12 months. Other premium wines are the white wine cuvée "Manna" (Riesling, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon) and the Bordeaux blend "Istante" (Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Merlot; 18 months in barrique and 12 months in bottle). The labels of the wines are designed by the famous Italian painter and architect Riccardo Schweizer.
