2006 Spätburgunder Selection S, Baden, Germany

Mature, slightly woody, nutty and earthy, with red and hinted black berries, dried mushroom notes, hint of tobacco. Cool and rather lean, elegant fruit on the palate, vegetal and earthy notes, moderate spicy oak, restrained, slightly astringent tannins, spicy and delicate spicy notes, some more dried mushrooms, light acid bite, good persistence, very good finish with a light bite and a touch. Has developed much to his advantage.
