2015 Achkarren Schlossberg Grauburgunder Grosses Gewächs, Baden, Germany

Clear, fairly polished nose, nutty pomaceous fruit, delicate vanilla spice and a hint of smoke. Firm, ripe, somewhat nutty fruit with melting and very fine bite, slightly smoky and vanilla wood spice, some grip from crumbly tannins, has power and a certain warmth, mineral notes in the background, still relatively young, a hint of bacon, vegetal and hints of mushroomy tones, very good, firm finish.

Ripe, slightly creamy, juicy fruit on the palate, vegetal and nutty aromas, very elegant acidity, hint of sugar candy, floral traces, touch of peppery spice, yeasty traces, hint of tobacco, light earthy and mineral notes, dried mushrooms, very restrained, delicately smoky toasted oak, very good creamy, slightly warm finish.
