2016 Grauburgunder Franz Anton, Baden, Germany

Firm nose, hint of bacon, vegetal and herbaceous notes, pomaceous fruit, delicately smoky oak, hint of fennel, fairly prominent mineral notes. Clear, elegant, juicy, fairly cool fruit on the palate, still closed, fresh vegetal and herbaceous notes, nutty and delicate yeasty aromas, lively, very elegant acidity, persistent and quite concentrated, good substance and depth, very fine, ripe tannins, still indeveloped, mineral notes on a very good firm, juicy, elegantly spicy finish. Needs time to mature.
