2013 Ried Anning Pinot Noir trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Firm, fairly deep nose, reminiscent of red cabbage, predominantly red berries, spicy oak, cloves, wilted flowers, herbs, hint of pepper, light earthy and mineral traces. Fairly cool, tart, juicy, firm fruit on the palate, nutty notes, hint of tobacco and some dark chocolate, fine sandy tannins, prominent salty mineral notes and peppery spice, persistent, still largely undeveloped, again a hint of red cabbage in the background, touch of cloves, leathery tarces, hint of tobacco, herbs and some dark chocolate, firm grip and bite, clear contours, very good tart, spicy, juicy finish.
