2012 Pinot Noir trocken "Heydenreich", Monopol, Pfalz, Germany

Firm nose, light toasted notes, ripe black and red berries, dried vegetal notes and some tobacco, light herbaceous notes, dried mushrooms, oak and fairly prominent mineral notes. Firm, ripe, concentrated, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, smoky, lightly toasted spicy oak, fairly prominent fine tannins, noticeable acid bite, persistent, good grip, very salty, tart earthy notes, some tobacco and cocoa, still largely undeveloped, deep and complex, still slightly astringent and again salty on a very good, long, tart finish.
