Clear, firm, polished nose, black and red berries, moderate, slightly smoky barrel notes, nutty traces and a hint of tobacco. Firm, tart, juicy, ripe fruit, smoky, nutty and roasted wood flavours, a certain acid bite, quite present, crumbly-sandy tannins, persistent and quite dense on the palate, chalky-salty minerality, certain depth, noble bitter chocolate, a little Havana tobacco, very good, firm, tart finish with ripe dark juice and again smoky and bitter chocolate wood. Has clearly developed to its advantage.
