2011 Nierstein Schloss Schwabsburg Riesling trocken Rabenturm, Rheinhessen, Germany

Dried vegetal notes on the nose, hint of tobacco, light spicy notes, restrained yellow fruit, mineral notes, peppery traces. Ripe, sweetish fruit on the palate, tart nutty, earthy and mineral notes, light vegetal notes, elegant acidity, very slightly muted by light sandy tannins, good persistence and substance, hint of sugar candy, some more yellow spice, very slightly noticeable warm alcohol, slightly sweetish and creamy, good to very good finish. Went through a weak phase in 2014, but has found its form again, and is still in good condition.
